"What is a Musical Nationalism?"
The utilization of the TUNES, MELODIES, RHYTHMS and HARMONIES known in a certain country is what we can refer to as MUSICAL NATIONALISM.
It is used to distinguish non-European twentieth century music.
This includes FOLKLORE.
FoLkLOrE
An expressive culture present in a specific population consisting the traditions, subculture or group.
This includes TALES, MUSIC, DANCE, LEGENDS, ORAL HISTORY, PROVERBS, JOKES, POPULAR BELIEFS, and CUSTOMS.
Tales: a report or a told story oftenly malicious or a lie
Music: a harmoniously, pleasing sound or mixture of sounds
Dance: a rhythmic motion or gestures performed to music
Legends: a historical foretold stories oftenly about earlier times
Oral History: recorded historical informations oftenly being audio/video-taped obtained form an interview
Proverbs: sayings which do express truth
Jokes: something amusing told causing laughter or simply, a punch line
Popular Beliefs: something considered as true or is believed
Customs: practices that are followed by many or even just a certain group
